adventures

The last couple days I've been working as a wardrobe assistant for a Gatorade Commercial.  The days are incredibly long, the driving around, looking for last minute alternatives, endless.  So many new faces and names to remember, trying to forge confidence & avoid my natural tendency toward shyness.  It's the excitement and adventure of it all that makes it worth wild.  In addition to that, the crew was awesome and being on set around the agency creatives as well as the client was awesome.  The two below are from the Sony Costume Rental Warehouse.  This place was my favorite stop in all of the driving around I did.  It's an airplane hanger filled three rows high, with clothes from every genre you could imagine.  It was absolutely amazing.  I got to wander the isles by myself, pulling any clothes I thought might work for the shoot.  I guess I'd never really considered styling or doing wardrobes before, but it was so much fun, who knows?  (thanks mel, for the reccomendation!)

Last night after a 12+ hour day I decided I really needed to get my Christmas sweets going, so I started the rocky-road fudge.
Hopefully today I will get to the buck-eyes, chocolate chip/walnut and peppermint/chocolate chip cookies. ..after work & picking up erica & whatever else is planned for today that i've forgotten.

seriously, i love the holidays.

i love the man...

but if this really is "the voice of this generation of this decade" then we are in deep trouble.

I don't think I've ever kept my fondness for Kanye West and all of his arrogance a secret, unfortunately, that was just painful and embarrassing.  He totally loses to Andy Samberg on this one.

I  really need to start DVRing SNL, or staying in Saturdays.

i caved.

After going back and forth for a long time, I caved and bought a pair of "dc" (dropped crotch) pants at Zara the other day. They probably had 8 different styles, slightly overwhelming.  They may not be the most flattering pants, but they are incredibly comfortable.  I would love to try on a pair of Rick Owen's (or just be gifted a pair!)  I've rationalized my purchasing this pair of "interesting" pants with the fact that I never wear pants, so if this baby step can catapult me into being comfortable in them, I will fully back that.  Whatever, maybe that's just bullshit and I will regret this purchase in a week.  Sometimes it's fun to purchase ridiculous clothes that clearly have expiration dates on them.  Today they make me happy so I will kindly invite anyone who begs to differ to suck it. : )
(marc jacobs top, zara pants & finally the introduction of my givenchy heels)

note to self:

stay away from amazon.com.  you clearly have no self control and one simple dvd purchase generally turns into four or five, like this morning.

(but i am really excited for what i just bought- pierrot le fou, run lola run, the lives of others, delicatessen-for the 2nd time! the big sleep (book, not film,) american tabloid and choke.)

cha cha photobooth

One of the many stops on Saturday:
(as usual, images enlarge if you click on them)

(Sara is the only one who looks good in this photo! Chance looks nothing like himself, Ryan is missing & I look like I exited the short bus a stop early.)

Jack is out of the box

Below are a couple photos captured from Saturday.  I can't even remember everywhere we went that night for no reason other than how sleep deprived I've been.  Jack refused to let Sara try on his head. Rude.
