oh life part deux

I came home from work today to find that between when I left for work this morning (around 6am,) & got home (about now,) someone had gone out & purchased the ingredients to make them self a bloody mary.  This event followed up from a looong night of drinking.  To you, you are amazing, don't ever change.  Part of me wishes my work offered every other Friday off so I could've partaken in the festivities as well.

The weekend is here & I'm burnt.  Excited, but burnt.  Let's see what adventures this weekend brings, I've made no plans except for tomorrow, the Heart for Haiti benefit.  Classy cocktail benefit for a couple friends venturing to Haiti to volunteer for a couple of weeks.  I should probably stay in & get ahead on preparing the appetizers I've offered to make.  You should all come!

I generally pride myself on maintaining hermit status or having friends over for a mellow night once or MAYBE twice during the work week. This one has been different though. I have seen 3 of my friend's bands play, 2 great wine nights with friends and finally, after the longest week ever, the weekend is here. Next week I promise you, you will not see me around--except for maybe Thursday, can't miss this guys first show.

We received the new issue of Nylon in the office & I immediately noticed Karen's sweet top. It's one of the amazing pieces from Rodarte except I had only seen it in cream before. Love love love that collection. Alright & I'm done posting about YYYs.

killing time

While waiting for videos to upload or files to be sent, sometimes I enjoy playing with one of the English to French translators. So many simple things can sound so beautiful when spoken in French.
The thunder storm is loud & I'd like nothing more than to be curled up in bed watching Delicatessen.

Generally I find myself bored with Kate Moss (with the exception of some of her YSL campaigns.) However, when I saw this picture it put a smile on my face. Bubble gum pink hair & cosmic gold makeup. Normally I can't get enough of the cold weather, but peering out one of the office windows at this sad looking day, I'm ready, bring on the CA sun.
