SURPRISE!

Over the weekend I threw a dear friend of mine a surprise party at EJ Malloy's. If you think having your own parties is stressful - throwing a surprise party for someone else can somehow manage to be even more so. You have no idea how relieved I was that with as many times as I've wondered if my friends even knew how to tell time, everyone made it! I escorted him out there to a full patio of friends waiting to celebrate him! Happy Bday again, D.

The "When the Night Comes" benefit at the Art Theatre (pictured above) turned out great too. Sam Outlaw and The Fling were entertaining, as always and the film did a great job of highlighting a global issue in need of attention. I hope that the film is able to garner more awareness and help the millions of people suffering from the disease.

On a completely separate & selfish note - we've booked our Coachella house!! Any of you who know me have probably encountered my incorrigible tendency to get overly excited about things. I just want to talk about April 16-18th all day. I want to plan out the bands I'm most interested in seeing, the parties I want to attend, etc. Yep, well aware that there are still 6.5 weeks before the event. So dumb.
