2010 already?

I can't believe that tomorrow is the first day of December, or that in one month's time we will have entered into 2010. I feel like the weeks have just been disappearing. Anyway, let's move past my unsettling feeling that life is moving way too fast & my wish to make every everything intentional and thought out, because really, I only started this post to share this:

tis the season

Day 4 of 5 entire days off from work. I'm starting to be reminded of what unemployed life was like and not entirely sure what I'll do during the two weeks we get for Christmas/New Years. I've spent good time with the people that make me smile, cooked good food, baked delicious sweets, cleaned, read at the coffee shop and basically covered all my bases.

The above photo is of Burbank, it was nice being back there for a bit, it also made me reflect on where I was last year & where I'll be in a year. Yikes.
Everyone who left for the holidays is beginning to return and Long Beach is feeling a little less like a ghost town. We have some good plans for tonight and tomorrow as this break is not over yet!

Don?

Jon Hamm. Total babe through and through.

Haus of Ga-Ga

I really don't know what to say after watching this. Homegirl is bat shit crazy and I can't stop watching. Observing her clomp around in all that McQueen & other amazing fashion/shoes has sucked me in. I can't stand her music but I may need to see her live one day. (yikes.)

wedding season

Saturday was Jessica & Peter's wedding day. They found the perfect property to have it at. It was beautiful out there. So clear. Jessica looked stunning and Peter looked quite dapper.
By the end of the night, one of the groomsmen had been shot in the shin by the groom himself. Gallons of alcohol had been consumed, hours and hours of dancing occurred and the kind of memories created that put a smile on your face the second you reminisce.
Congrats Jess & Peter Mansen!!

Halloween Pt. I

Costumes.  I love them as much as I hate them.  If I don't have enough time to put together a well thought out, clever, fun costume then I generally wind up putting off looking for anything and freaking out for the last couple hours, until it's time to leave.  Of course that's what happened this year.  In the span of 1 hour I changed my half-assed costume 3 or 4 times, finally committing to what you see above.  I decided to post it because I posted a photo of this dress a while ago and have wanted to have something to wear it for for years.  Last night the opportunity presented itself (kind of) and I ran with it. More party photos to come.  Last night was awesome, hope everyone else had a happy & memorable halloween as well.

After a truly great weekend, including late night porch hang outs, Saturday morning breakfast cookoffs and a ridiculously well done, haunted halloween house party, I had the pleasure of spending the day with my niece.  We went to the park.  She's an amazing little thing.
