when boys clean up:

josh & colin cleaned up after having people over the other night. the untouched tiramisu did not get the sweet end of that deal.

A little of this & that:

Full days spent doing nothing & everything all at once, preparing little deserts for holiday parties, dance parties, oh the dance parties and all the good people these things happen with. I'm quite excited to see how the rest of this break turns out.

3 Days Til Break...

We took my niece to the Brian Eno exhibit at CSULB. (Never too early to give them a little culture.) It was the first time I'd been back since graduating. It's strange how foreign the campus felt. The exhibit was quite good, although I'd hoped it would've been larger. 7 million different images all incorporated into new pieces of art. Pretty sweet.


Sunday we went to KROQ's Acoustic Christmas. Muse puts on a damn good show. Metric, Phoenix and even Vampire Weekend were all fun too. All music aside, seeing infant sized Deryck Whibley made my night more than any of the other silly people backstage.

I hadn't been to a Benihana's since homecoming in highschool. I wish every Friday could be like this. Let the games begin!

weekend recap

Another good weekend with good people. I've come to realize that having responsibility does not have to be synonymous with becoming boring.

Friday, The Fling played a house show with a handful of our other friends contributing couch side. I somehow ended up dancing around until after 3am?

Saturday was the 2nd St parade. Ahh I love the holidays!

Sunday I got to just sit and read. For dinner I made a Pumpkin Lasagna to accompany our Dexter watching. (The lasagna was amazing - although I should probably work on my presentation.) Less than 2 weeks til Christmas break, trying not to check out just yet - but waking up to the rain this morning made it so hard to leave the comforts of my warm bed. I keep peering out the window, watching it trickle down so peacefully. Today would be the most perfect day to spend curled up at home, watching some of the 15 screeners I have from work.

work life

Last week was insanely busy - until Friday that is. What started out as a photo taken to make fun of a co-worker, inhaling his lunch while watching tv at his desk, turned into an entire day of people trying to one up the next.
