Those boots you posted on your blog are the scariest and ugliest things I’ve ever seen. They make me consider wearing the hooker boots. What is wrong with you, child!!!! I don’t care how big the designer’s name is, they are hideous!!! I know this has to be a joke, joaquin phoenix.

whatever! I like them. suckit. : )

she's just not that into you

Those who frequent this blog have got to know how big a fan I am of Alexander Wang's. I am waiting on pins and needles for the release of his new shoe line; his collections have time and time again managed to make me drool. With all that being said, I am so sick of reading about all the hype over how AMAAAAZING this new awang t is. Anyone who has ever been to American Apparel has probably tried on or currently owns 5 different versions of this. Yes, I'm sure the fabric is 99% more amazing, but I can't help but be frustrated when a fashion designer, as innovative and creative as Alexander has generally proved to be, settles for something like this.

It Was a Metaphor for the Decay of Contemporay Culture

So so so many amazing things are happening in my life right now, I should be "shouting a top every fake roof top I can find!" I'm going to hold onto this absolutely exciting part of '09 and smile because I deserve to for all this hard work. My new professional life begins on Monday. Let's forget about everything else, all the recently added variables & all those whispers of "I told you so..."

Instead, we're going to talk FASHION. woooooo.

Alexander Wang. I love you & cannot wait to own a pair of your coveted, soon to be released, heels.
Lanvin. Mmm. Not quite as ethereal as the 2008 campaign, just as Fashionindie suggested, I do not care. Alber Elbaz can do no wrong.

And lastly, Coco Rocha for H&M. I wish I had better luck shopping there! Unfortunately, more often than not, I just leave frustrated.
These ads have me feeling like it's time to be a little more optimistic.

La De Da.

Last night Elise & I threw all responsibility & common sense out the window (as we so often do when paired up.)  We stopped by a friend's going away party at the red room & then went a million other places.  The old me definitely came out to play.

I look like I want to kill the gentleman who was taking the picture.

The last two photos are how we concluded the night.  I know you're jealous you missed out on our "Adult Alternative" bumping dance party; at least I'm sure my neighbors were.

HAPPY 2009!!!

Until 7:30 last night, I had no idea what, if anything, I was doing for NYE. I refused to go anywhere I needed a car & the prospect of acquiring a cab was laughable. All that changed with one conversation and by 5 after 8, I was on my way to the first party of the evening, one bottle of champagne and a flask of Jack Daniels in tote.
We went to 6 different parties, 5 before midnight. I guess sometimes, having no expectations for the over hyped holiday, is the best mindset to be in because I had an amazing time.

The fifth house we went to where we rang in the new year.
The third party we were at. Honestly, I don't know if this one should count because we crashed it while leaving Sam & Crystal's. I guess you could say we were lured by Britney Spears blasting from the restored Spanish style house & their fully decorated patio, overflowing with drunken, middle aged, mostly gay adults. I applaud Alayna for being the one to suggest we crash it. I really could've stayed there all night, dancing and ringing in the new year with tons of new gay boyfriends.
The last stop of the night was Dan's house. The best stop of the night. So much fun dancing & enjoying awesome friends.
