it's grand prix weekend in long beach which means parking in my neighborhood somehow manages to become even more impossible. this also means drunk people crawling all over town. driving back from work today i saw more people with red cups on ocean blvd then at the last house party i attended. while walking to my local liquor store about an hour ago, i was almost ran into the wall by a belligerent gay man and his posse of bro hos. i wish i could get into an event like that, i really do. i mean, it's walking distance from me-but i can't. the closest i'll get to the races this year is my sliding glass door, which i have to shut to quiet the humming of engines just down the street.
betsy is gone & i'm sad.
it's weird to accept the reality of her being hundreds of miles away.
she's in SF with gregory-and gabby and soon sara too.
i'm hoping to book a ticket with in the next week or two.
cinespia screenings begin in may. i'm very much looking forward to them & can't wait to find out what they'll show this summer.
in other news, i need this in my life.
